Article Processing Charges
All articles/manuscripts submitted to Sphere Science Publishing
are assumed to be submitted under the Open Access publishing model. Open Access provides free and immediate online access to the scholarly literature for anyone in the world to read, download, share, distribute and reuse.
Publishing articles/manuscripts in Open access is not free of costs. The Article Processing Charges (APC) or Publication Fees for Sphere Science Publishing Journals
for each article. APCs invoiced to EU countries are subject to 20% VAT or Local taxes. There are no submission fees as such; only the article publishing charge after the paper is accepted for publication, before it is published.
Publication fees or Article Processing Charges
help Sphere Science Publishing to recover the costs of publication - including Editorial and Peer review management, Journal production, Online hosting and Archiving and also to create a pool of funds that can be used to provide fee waivers for authors from Low Income countries (World Bank Country Classification table) and Students for publishing their articles.
Authors with funding, institutional support or from commercial organizations are asked to pay this amount
Alternatively, most funding bodies will allow authors to use part of their research grant to cover the cost of article publishing charges.
